Remembering His Royal Highness Prince Philip

"Today we join with the Nation and Commonwealth in mourning the loss of His Royal Highness, Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh. His life was given to public service and commitment to Her Majesty the Queen. At a time such as this his legacy feels particularly poignant.

"We are praying for Her Majesty the Queen and the Royal Family in their grief."

Personal Prayer opening times

In the light of the death of His Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, Bradford Cathedral will be extending its opening hours for quiet reflection, prayer and the lighting of a candle.

From Saturday 10th April we will be open 11am - 4:30pm Monday - Saturday, during this period of mourning.

The service to mark the death of His late Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh will be led by the Very Reverend Jerry Lepine, Dean of Bradford and members of the Cathedral Choir and Music Department provide the music. There will be a reflection from the Rt Revd Nick Baines, Bishop of Leeds and readings from Kersten England, Chief Executive of Bradford Metropolitan District Council, and Ed Anderson, Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire
